Mission Statement
The McGill Students’ Cancer Society (MSCS) is dedicated to supporting individuals affected by cancer through fundraising, education, and community engagement. We work to raise critical funds for cancer research and support services while fostering awareness, compassion, and action within the McGill and greater Montréal community.
Vision
We envision a future where cancer does not define lives. MSCS works to cultivate a campus community grounded in hope, resilience, and unity, empowering students to play an active role in cancer research, advocacy, and support for patients, survivors, and their loved ones.
Values
MSCS is guided by compassion, inclusivity, and integrity. We believe in honoring every cancer journey, uplifting survivor voices, and creating safe, welcoming spaces for all. Through collaboration, accountability, and student leadership, we are committed to making a tangible and lasting impact!

Affiliation
The McGill Students’ Cancer Society is proud to be affiliated with the Canadian Cancer Society through Relay For Life.
This partnership ensures that all funds raised by MSCS directly support cancer research, patient support programs, education, and advocacy efforts across Canada.
By working with the Canadian Cancer Society, MSCS is able to create meaningful impact while connecting students to a national network dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by cancer.

Land Acknowledgement
The McGill Students’ Cancer Society acknowledges that McGill University is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange among Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We recognize and respect the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) Nation as the custodians of the lands and waters on which we gather today. This acknowledgement is a reminder of our responsibility to engage in ongoing learning, reflection, and action toward reconciliation.
